I wasn't ultra-excited about Texas when we decided to move here, but it's been great for us. I hope Oklahoma will be the same for you. And, you know, I hear that the "waving wheat sure smells sweet when the wind comes right behind the rain."
FYI I left my facebook comment before I saw this... having said that...NNNNNOOOOOO you guys just can't move! everyone is leaving!! ok, so we need to hang out all we can, I need to plan some play dates. And Hey, At least you will only be there for 1 year, hopefully. then maybe you'll get to come back to Vegas?? :0)
Hey Brooks! I want to say Congratulations about the move but your not super excited so that doesn't seem to fit. How about....Congratulations on getting one step closer to living where you guys want! Let me know if there is anything we can do to help with the big move!
Good luck. We're terribly excited about the "no more school" part, and sympathetic about the "welcome to the military. put down a preference so we can ignore it" part.
Been There, Done That It wasn't really a bad place--a bit small townish compared to Vegas--but that's not a bad thing. Brush up on any piano playing skills you have, the first thing they asked when we walked in the Church door was if either of us could play-even with one finger- I could play some and thus "got to" play for everything, but it was ok. Remember. . . "and all these things shall give thee experience and will be for thy good. . ." That probably doesn't help but just remember it's not forever, and somehow it fits into "the plan."
The next step is getting yourself a surry with the fringe on the top...
ReplyDeleteOklahoma ain't that bad, really! I've only been once, but we had fun there.....And the sunsets are gorgeous.
